We visited Jawakara in September 2024.

Welcome to our video showcasing Jawakara, a stunning destination in the Maldives! In this film, we’ll take you on a visual journey through this paradise, where turquoise waters meet pristine white sandy beaches. Let’s explore everything Jawakara has to offer!

Here, you can see the breathtaking views of Jawakara. The palm trees sway gently in the soft ocean breeze, and the sunsets are simply spectacular. This is the perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty of nature.

From the arrival by seaplane we were warmly welcomed by the staff and our island host Azuhaan.

5-star island Jawakara Maldives, located in Lhaviyani Atoll, opened in October 2023.

Jawakara is set over two islands, Mabin Island is the largest with the most facilities: the dive school, the garden spa, football pitch, tennis and padel courts, There is also a 9-hole golf course and driving range, with an a la carte restaurant Hideout (fast food). For kids there is a large kids' Club, and also pool for kids at Nika Bar and also an infinity pool at Aila Buffet.
A watersports centre, and a fully equipped gym, with a beautiful view over the turquoise waters.
On Mabin you can also find the Italian restaurant, Molo (a la carte) and the main restaurant on Mabin is Saima Buffet restaurant.
On Mabin, you can book all meal plans from Breakfast, Half Board, Full Board or Premium All-inclusive.

A long bridge connects (600 meters) Mabin to Dheru Island. As you cross the bridge, by buggy, walk or on a bike, you will find Umi, an Asian a la carte restaurant and the overwater spa Sulha.

We stayed on Dheru island, were you can only book Premium All inclusive. This island is smaller than Mabin island

The overwater villas with pools in Dheru are exclusive for adults, but the island is also for families.

All villas on both islands have Beach Villas, Beach Villas with pools, Water Villas with pools, and family two-bedroom villas. You'll find three-bedroom family villas on Dheru Island.

The rooms are spacious and modern, with comfortable beds—outdoor shower but no bath. The bathroom amenities are body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, handwash and aftersun, which are of a very good quality.

If you booked Premium All-inclusive which is of a high standard with a fully stocked mini-bar replenished daily, if you want some extra that is no problem you can ask for.

Guests on Premium All-inclusive also get free bicycles, and you can dine in the a la carte restaurants, which you can book via your island host or via the special Jawakara app.

In the premium all-inclusive package there are free non-motorized watersports, snorkelling equipment, Yoga, free use of the golf course and driving range, and a sunset cruise. We really recommend the sunset cruise where you can spot dolphins.

The resort is located on the outer edge of the atoll, so you find seagrass floating in the water but the beach team is full day raking it up, so it looks always clean.

The beach is stunning on both islands, you have a sunrise and a sunset side. During our stay the sea at the sunset side was more wilder and the sunrise side was quite choppy.

The house reef isn't that impressive, We recommend you if want to snorkel, you can join a boat trip to the reef outside the atoll which they offer twice a day.

A regular shuttle bus and buggy services are up and down the islands.

Jawakara is a dream destination with plenty of facilities. The staff is very driven, hospitality is a top priority. The restaurants have very good quality and varied food.

The island is beautiful with lots of vegetation, despite the fact that Jawakara has only been open for 1 year, the villas are hidden among the greenery, providing a lot of privacy.
