Kurt Krueger Architect's re-envisions this 1968 home designed by architect Haralamb H. Georgescu. Keeping the bones of the structure in tack, the team set out to update the home to today's standards and aesthetic. A lucky find of the original house plans under the stairwell meant we knew what the original architect wanted, and could now faithfully restore it. We remade the mahogany cabinetry featured throughout the home and were able to employ this craftsmanship in a reconfigured kitchen space. The exterior of the home was also modernized with a striking mosaic of tile work punctuating the front façade. An old structure at the front of the lot was removed in order to create a new, custom guest house where we again featured in the space beautiful mahogany cabinetry. Other exterior features include a stone patio and fire pit off the guesthouse and leading back to the main house we've added a sculpture created by Georgescu's son. This major renovation included new flooring and surfaces along with rebuilt cantilevered decks and pool decking for a stunning back elevation with pops of yellow flanking the chimney of the greatroom fireplace.
