Efforts have been made to involve youth in shaping the global response to HIV, but more needs to be done to ensure organizations fulfill their responsibility in safeguarding and enabling young people to participate fully and meaningfully. The Vibrant Young Voices (VYV) consortium is a strategic partnership led by Y+ Global in collaboration with the Coalition of Children Affected by AIDS (CCABA) and PATA, funded by the Robert Carr Fund. This consortium is driven by a shared vision of empowering adolescents and young people, who are most often left behind, and ensuring their voices are heard in policy-making, funding decisions, and program development at all levels. The docu-series are initially part of the VYV campaign on meaningful youth engagement in health care settings. These videos were shot in Botswana and Nigeria and led by the Youth Advisory Group.
