God is the Author of life. All life was created by Him. The Bible says He created all things for His pleasure. When we talk about human life, now that's high above all things that He created: IN HIS OWN IMAGE. Human life therefore is sacred, because God put part of Himself into man. It is therefore within His exclusive power to take life or keep it going. No human being has the right to decide the end of man's life.
