Infrared film photography is a niche that requires a small amount of extra knowledge, but isn't as difficult as people often fear! In short: this film allows you to 'see' the invisible IR light on your developed negative - and because objects in the world reflect IR light differently to visible light, your photos will be very different to usual 😊

Rollei Infrared film is also sensitive to visible light - so you will need an IR filter in order to block that from dominating the image. This will lose 8-10 stops of light, so expect longer shutter speeds than usual - a tripod is definitely a good idea!
