This year we brought five of the most promising and exciting newcomers of Reeperbahn Festival 2022 on stage in a unique setting: at the XESSIONS at resonanzraum we experienced the selected acts in an intimate atmosphere - and not only that: the shows were professionally recorded with a 360-degree stagescape and because of this impressive mediaproduction we’re now able to rewatch the artists performance right here on YouTube!

From the beginning, Caroline Rose has placed great emphasis on writing, playing and releasing her music with utmost autonomy. And it’s working. On the albums “Loner” (2018) and “Superstar” (2020), they achieve nothing short of the combination of Americana folk, alternative country, electronic indie pop and rockabilly into a mixture that, beside them, simply no-one else could currently concoct. This has been confirmed not only by the 32-year-old's loyal fanbase, but by various articles across the world for years now. Caroline Rose has achieved what so many people dream of with considerable perseverance and by believing in herself – and they’re coming to Hamburg to play her new material and, of course, a selection of their work to date.

Reeperbahn Festival is the biggest club festival in Europe and the largest European platform for international pop culture and the music industry. Since 2006, for four days each September the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, Germany has become the center of the international music world and a sustainable interface between artists, the public, industry representatives and society. The Conference program is aimed at professional visitors from all segments of the music industry from around the world.

The Reeperbahn Festival takes place under the sign of togetherness - racism, sexism, homophobia and exclusion have no place with us.

In diesem Jahr haben wir fünf der vielversprechendsten und spannendsten Newcomer*innen des Reeperbahn Festivals 2022 in einzigartigem Rahmen auf die Bühne geholt: Bei den XESSIONS im resonanzraum konntet ihr die ausgewählten Acts vor kleinem Publikum in intimer Atmosphäre erleben – und nicht nur das: Die Shows wurden mit einem 360-Grad-Bühnenbild professionell aufgezeichnet und dank dieser aufwändigen Medienproduktion können wir die Performance der Künstler*innen hier auf YouTube nochmal erleben!

Von Beginn an legte Caroline Rose großen Wert darauf, Musik mit einem Maximum an Selbstbestimmung zu schreiben, zu spielen, aufzunehmen und zu veröffentlichen. Caroline Rose hat mit beachtlichem Durchsetzungsvermögen und dem Glauben an sich selbst das geschafft, wovon so viele träumen – bei uns wird Caroline davon erzählen und neben neuem Material auch einen Querschnitt ihres bisherigen Schaffens präsentieren.

Seit dem Debüt im Jahr 2006 hat sich das Reeperbahn Festival zu einem der wichtigsten Treffpunkte für die Musikwelt entwickelt und zeigt, wie sich ein überbordendes musikalisches Line-Up mit musikwirtschaftlichen Interessen und zivilgesellschaftlichem Engagement verbinden lässt.

Unsere Festivals finden im Zeichen des Miteinanders statt – Rassismus, Sexismus, Homophobie und Ausgrenzung finden bei uns keinen Platz.
