We are The Bygones, who you may also know as Joshua Lee Turner and Allison Young. We are raising funds to record, release, and tour our first full-length album of original music, as completely independent artists.

We met through the internet, started making music together, and enjoyed it so much that this year we started a band. We’ve discovered that we especially love writing music together, and so we’ve decided to finally make our first full-length album of original music.

We’re both looking at this project as a creative blank slate – a chance to make the kind of music we’re most energized by, that’s the most fun for us, that feels the most like who we are. We really believe in the songs that we've written over the past year, and we want to do them justice.

That's where you come in.

Being independent gives us pretty much unlimited creative freedom, but it also poses many challenges, including paying for studio time, compensating musicians and collaborators fairly, manufacturing vinyl, getting the word out about our music, and making a tour happen – all without going into crushing debt.
