I had a nightmare experience as a Kickstarter backer for the new Padcaster Parrot Pro Teleprompter. The product was delayed for almost a year, had some bizarre updates, was sold in retail stores for a cheaper price ahead of the backers, and the final price of the product with shipping was not worth it.

I'll talk about the screen hazing or ghosting problem which I think for the most part was overblown and compare it to my older teleprompter the Desview T3 which is cheaper and higher quality. Overall, I think the product is over prized and kind of absolute since better products have been introduced. It's not a bad product, just doesn't represent the price I paid for it and it's definitely left a bad taste in regards to me ever using Kickstarter again.
