Uncle Andrew Gardiner is a proud descendant of the Wurundjeri clans of the Woi-wurrung people and a Muslim revert. Uncle Andrew has been a part of numerous Boards and Committees working in the service of Aboriginal communities. In sharing Uncle Andrew’s success story, we discussed the similarities between Islam and Aboriginal cultural beliefs, facing discrimination in Australia and the history of Islamic voyagers who set foot on Australian soil hundreds of years before European settlement.
