I'm SUPER pumped for this project. In this video, I cast a replica door handle for NASA's Apollo 11 Moon mission command module for #projectegress. project egress celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first time men rode the awesome Saturn V rocket to LAND on the moon. not the first Saturn V launch, but the first moon landing.

This project is a collaborative undertaking by Adam Savage/Tested/Savage Industries, the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, and many other makers. How did I manipulate my way into this mix of otherwise highly talented people? No idea. But Here I am nonetheless...

Part 2 here, where I "test" the handle:    • How Strong is the Apollo 11 Handle?

This part was sand cast in cast aluminum, from a 3d printed pattern
