Frozen pipes aren't any fun, but a frozen pressure tank? That made us really have to wait a while for our water system to thaw. Old water damage to our shed allowed a squirrel to destroy the insulation for our water system. So this year, after our pipes froze from temperatures around 10 degrees farenheit, I realized I couldn't put this project off any longer. So I built an insulated box around our water system that should keep squirrels out and heat in. With any luck we'll get the rest of our shed fixed soon, but for now, at least we won't have to worry about frozen pipes the rest of the winter! Since completing this project we've had days with a high of 24 degrees surrounded by nights in the teens and the temperature in the box only dropped as low as 38 degrees! Hopefully this winter is mild, but even if it's harsh, I think we're finally in good shape!
