Watch the problem with the motor while its out of the chassis.

The Accurascale Class 37 is a fantastic model of the English Electric Type 3. Unfortunately one of the six that I purchased has a problem. In this video we have the motor out of the chassis and in a 3D printed motor mount for testing. We will demonstrate the problem by leaving the motor run at different consistent power levels where you will see it fluctuate with no change to the power. This is part 3 of a (now) five part series.

Part 1 showed the problem the Class 37 was having on the layout, you can watch that at    • Accurascale Class 37 Intermittent Pow...   Part 2 walks you through a complete tear down of the Class 37 and can be found at    • Accurascale Class 37 - Complete Tear ...   . Part 4 showing the repair will follow in a few days once we have either fixed the motor or have the parts on hand necessary to fix the loco. Part 5 showing the reassembly will follow that.

Ironically it actually spins up to full power at 12:57 after I mention the Bachmann Class 37 arriving!
