There are 3 key factors that will make setting mosaic floor tiles much easier

2. Use a good thinset; my favorite is Ardex X5

3. Plan & layout 👊 Template & cut tiles before setting

My biggest word of advice when it comes to choosing a mosaic: Make sure you can see the actual tile!

If all you see is glue.....then I would advise buying something else

Its very important to NOT select tiles like this for a shower where water will penetrate below tile
I've seen many tile failures from tiles popping off mat years later

If you thinset bonds to actual tile you will have a long lasting tile installation 👍

💥Setting Mosaic Floor Tiles💥

Most mosaic floor tiles can be installed with a 1/4" x 1/4" trowel https://amzn.to/3MiKA88
One of my favorite ones is the Superiorbilt 1/4" x 1/4" trowel - https://bit.ly/3ubSgTt
If the mosaics you have are less than a 1/4" thick, go with a smaller trowel size


Work the thinset into the substrate with the back side of trowel
This will ensure a good bond & make for better trowel lines

Directionally trowel
The neater you are with the troweling, the easier the installation

Once tiles are positioned into place, tamp down to embed into thinset with a grout float

A linoleum knife is helpful for scraping excess thinset from joints https://amzn.to/40cpFZU

Pushing & brushing out thinset with a chip brush works well too 👍
