I was given a private sneak-peek tour of the incredible Melbourne Skyfarm, an urban farm built on top of a city carpark, producing tonnes of vegetables every year.
The Melbourne Skyfarm isn't yet open to the public but hopefully it will be next year, and will include a cafe, bar, space for the kids to play, educational spaces, and it'll be completely free for everyone to access.
In this video the Melbourne Skyfarm team taught me (you!) all the tricks of the trade including:
- How they use hot compost
- Making worm tea from a worm farm
- How the Biofilta wicking beds (Food Cubes) work
- what soil to use
- and much much more!
