After our 2 nights in Amsterdam we set sail for Zeebrugge , and we were looking forward to our visit to the town of Ghent . We were informed that the seas were likely to get a bit rougher and so take care as we moved around the ship .
Well they certainly got the forecast correct , the wind and the swell of the sea definitely increased. Ventura was definitely tilted to the starboard side which made it increasingly harder to walk around the ship .
We had a lovely meal in the Beach house restaurant where we were informed by the Captain that because the weather had deteriorated so much we would have to cancel the port of Zeebrugge .Very disappointing but we totally understood . So our planned visit to Ghent will have to wait for another occasion .
