Just a wee bit over an hour drive north from Auckland's CBD there's Te Arai Links with two world class courses. One designed by Tom Doak and the other by the Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw partnership.
The good news is that unlike its neighbour, Tara Iti it's open to the public and is definitely good value in the off season. However in the high season it gets a wee bit pricey for the average Kiwi and if your budget only permits playing one of the courses the starter on the South Course is here to tell you a bit about both courses.
