Utersum - Rund 400 Einwohner an der Westspitze der Insel. Ein kleiner Ort mit einem hübschen Kern. Touristisch interessant mit einem langen Sandstrand zum Baden und Laufen. Oder als Ausgangspunkt für lange Spaziergänge am Deich. Dabei ist die Aussicht (wenn das Wetter mitspielt) "Spitze": die Nordspitze Amruns und die Südspitze Sylts sind gut zu sehen. Im Video ist auch ein dramatischer Sonnenuntergang über Sylt zu sehen.

Für uns Wohnmobilisten hat Föhr den Riesenvorteil, dass es dort einen ausgezeichneten Stellplatz gibt. Unser "Basislager" war daher in Utersum bei Sörensens Stellplatz. Hier haben Camper u.a. auch den Vorteil, dass es einen Supermarkt und eine Tortenmanufaktur im Dorf gibt.
