There are lovely small towns all across the Texas Hill Country. One that probably doesn't get the recognition it deserves is Mason. It's a lovely small town in with an interesting history. It also has more of a classic "old west" look than most towns in this part of Texas. I also stop in Rocksprings, on the far western edge of this region.
