EUROPEAN RAILWAYS of the 1990s
Praha-Vršovice (Prague) (Czech Republic ČD) on 21st March 1997
Back in Prague (Praha) in very wet conditions, I called into this station to see what activity would transpire. I noticed many Diesel Locomotive hauled trains, some heading off towards Dobříš about 25 miles to the South West of Prague and most traffic heading onto the main route towards Čerčany and further East. Even in the gloomy weather conditions the trains looked bright and fairly clean and with plenty of activity made the 2 hours I was there go quickly. Note the Blue ground signals.. This country offered such a variety of railway traffic and the staff were so hospitable, I just hope things and attitudes have not changed as they have in most other places. Anyone familiar with the area covered I hope will be immersed into the days and era of the material featured. I hope this series will appeal to the BR enthusiast as well as the European enthusiasts and again feel free to comment on any material or subscribe and like to the channel to help support it's growing popularity. It may not always be possible to answer every comment or question, especially if it is not in English, but every comment is read and greatly appreciated.
