Some of Victor Technology's printing calculators require the use of an ink roller. Victor has two models, the IR40T and the IR40 Both of these units have a pad that applies ink to your calculator paper. The IR40T is a two color ink roller, while the IR40 is a one color ink roller. Please refer to your owner's manual to determine which ink roller your calculator requires.

In order to install your IR40T ink roller, first remove the paper from the calculator, and then remove the top printer cover. All Victor printing calculators come with an ink roller pre-installed. The ink roller can be found in the bottom right corner of the printer area. It can be identified by the "pull up" tab located on the top. Simply pull the ink roller straight up and out of the calculator. You can now take the new IR40T ink roller, and place it into the same location. Push down, and the ink roller will click into place. When installed, the "pull up" label will be facing you on the left hand side. You can now place the printer cover back into place and re feed the paper. The new ink roller will now be able to print.

Installation of the IR40 ink roller follows the same process as the IR40T. Simply remove the calculator paper, then the printer cover the ink roller is located in the lower right corner of the printer area. You will notice that the ink roller says "pull up" on the left side. Pull the ink roller straight up and out of the printing calculator. You can now take the new IR40 ink roller and place it back into the same location. Push down, and the ink roller will click into place. When installed, the "pull up" label will be facing you on the left hand side You can now place the printer cover back into place and re feed the paper. The new ink roller will now be able to print.
