Bryan Stevenson is NYU Law School professor of law and the founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama. He has won relief for dozens of condemned prisoners, argued five times before the Supreme Court, and won national acclaim for his work challenging bias against the poor and people of color. Stevenson is also the author of Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption, a powerful true story about the potential for mercy to redeem us, and a clarion call to fix a system of justice that many believe is broken. This interview took place at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books for PBS Book View Now. You can watch the full interview here: http://video.pbs.org/video/2365485410/
