Showing removal of engine, then stripping the engine down and splitting the cases. Pressing out the bearings and cleaning the cylinder and case halves ready for the new parts (Part 4 will be putting it all back together again).

I sped up the first part showing jacking up the front as it was shown in detail in Part 1 - I didn't want to skip it entirely as it's still a part of this step. Hopefully the 3x speed still shows how quickly it can be done (it's only my third time ever doing it).

I used the Buzzetti Clutch Puller from Treatland.tv - This is the correct length and fully engages the threads.

Ponts cam needs a puller, I used a 3" two Jaw from Harbor Freight -

I tried using one from Autozone as I only had 3 jaw pullers and they dont fit. Autozone one had pressed steel arms, but they just bent. Harbor Freight one worked fine.

The Case Splitter isn't necessary, but I already owned it (for CRF50 & Clone Engines) so I thought I'd make use of it. Mallet and some heat seem to work well from threads I've read.

There's a good video showing dis-assembly of a Honda Camino using the tool less method of removal. It's under "Honda Camino PA50 strip-down and rebuild"

For cleaning the Head I used a soft orange scraperite scraper to remove the carbon buildup and then Carb/Parts Dip to soften the rest and remove the gas residue that was on the outside below the petcock. Then rinsed it in Purple Power Degreaser to remove all the residue. Then rinsed it under hot water to remove the degreaser.

I try to use Scraperite razors when removing gaskets to avoid the risk of damaging a gasket surface (I can be clumsy). Yellow are the hardest and best for that job, but these gaskets were stubborn so I switched to a standard razor scraper blade.

The Press is just the newer style 20 Ton Press from Harbor Freight (Item #32879) I added a little heat just to help things along.
