Notes- "Mother” is taken from queer slang, specially Drag Queens. This slang is from black and brown queer/drag communities. These two communities are often overlooked in LGBTQ spaces, despite nearly all slang coming from them (edited after being reminded by my amazing commentors. As a Black Ally this needed to be highlighted. Drag Mothers are usually older or/and more experienced drag queens that lead their younger Drag Queens or Queer members of their family, called drag houses. To be called “mother” is a sign of respect. Online, it basically means you are cunty, sexy, badass, regardless of gender.

If you didn’t know already Seonghwa (& Ateez as a whole) are very comfy with their gender and how they express themselves. Both Hongjoong & Hwa have stated that their fashion styles are “genderless” or unisex. If you have a problem with that, then this is not the group for you. Yes, Hwa likes "feminine" clothing, there is nothing wrong with that.

Also this is not to push any gender stereotypes, Hwa is very much a
man (just a man comfortable in his skin). Ateez may joke about him being “mom” but please don’t make it weird, like forcing it onto him constantly and making it his whole personality (at least to yourself.

P.S. There’s nothing wrong with being ‘mom’ too, moms are some of the strongest people in the world. (We get it, Hwa is a Milf but just enjoy this without making it a negative thing).
