No matter how many disturbing scenes we have seen in House of The Dragon yet, all of them have one denominator in common and that is the direct or indirect inclusion of rats. Alongside the slow brewing conflict which has now escalated to the point of bloodshed, the show has teased many elements that would eventually go on to weave doom for the future of House Targaryen. And, they have most subtly done this by using rats as a form of symbolism. Rats have always been known to spell doom in period dramas or even horrors. These pests are the harbinger of bad omen, I mean they are literally associated with the plague, and we have even seen them quite a bit in Game of thrones too.
