Marie-Josephe grew up isolated in a convent, not knowing that she was King Louis XIV's daughter. When Louis allows her to visit Versailles, she becomes friends with a mermaid, who was captured for her healing powers. Marie-Josephe also starts getting close to the king during her stay, but unbeknownst to her, Louis intends to kill the mermaid to gain eternal life.
