Short for Structured CRitical Airway Management, SCRAM® is an emergency airway bag that enhances performance by reducing error and the time to intervention.

In an emergency situation getting it right first time really matters. SCRAM® offers a structured, reproducible approach to emergency airway management and has been developed by experts in the field. It is now being used by high-performance teams in both the pre-hospital and hospital environments across Scotland, the UK, and internationally.

Based on this success, the SCRAM® product range has now expanded to encompass the neonatal to adolescent age range. The Paediatric SCRAM® Bag and the compact Paediatric EMS SCRAM® - providing a structured, reproducible approach to paediatric airway management.

SCRAM® was invented by Paul Swinton and Neil Sinclair, Scottish Ambulance Service. Paediatric SCRAM® was co-invented with Dr Jon McCormack, NHS Lothian; both were commercialised through Scottish Health Innovations Ltd, who work in partnership with NHS Scotland to identify, protect, develop and commercialise healthcare innovations to improve patient care.
