In part 2 of the abandoned garden restoration series, we
planted a ton of cherry and Roma tomatoes
put brick borders around the tomatoe plants until they were taller than the mulch
we gathered pine needles from the forest to use as mulch. Some people say that pine needles are too acidic to use as mulch, but once they decompose into the soil they have a neutral ph.
we installed a sprinkler system. There are 2 sprinlers that come on every 5 hours for 10 minutes.
and I built a tiny house for the sprinkler controller. The controllers instructions say that you can extend its life by keeping it out of heavy rain and out of the sun. So that's what I did.
