Repair or (Replace Your Mazda 3 Coolant Reservoir) Leak is my first car video for 2020. Thanks to you, my subscribers, I've survived 12 years on YouTube. I appreciate you sticking with me over the years. Before we start, thanks for watching, don’t forget to subscribe, rate and comment.

This time we were talking about replacing the coolant reservoir on our Mazda-3 hatchback. As you saw by the gauge our Mazda 3 was overheating. There was little to on coolant in the reservoir, so I checked to see if we had a head gasket leak.
I pulled and inspected the oil dipstick. The oil still looked new, so we added coolant to the reservoir. Again and the cooling ended up on the ground. We discovered there were two cracks in the coolant reservoir. That said we went out to AutoZone to buy replacement. We replaced the reservoir, and once we worked out the minor leaks from the hose connections we thought everything was good. But the car is still overheated.

That’s when we realized not only did we have a coolant leak we also had a bad thermostat. Unfortunately I can’t find the raw video of that repair. However, when I do I’ll just make a separate video for that fix.

This video is part of my "Living Under COVID" series. We are currently visiting locations that have little to no people. I've put my car repair videos on hold due to COVID because I don't want to go to crowded junkyard and part supply houses.
