Aufbau des Segelbootes. Assembly of the boat.
This boat sailing:    • Intex Mariner with sail and cabin diy...
This modification ist my construction and homemade. You can't buy it. I've built this boat in my dining room in winter 2011-12. No special tools were used. If you want to build it, first get a sail kit that fits in sail area (4-6m²) to the intex mariner and has a shroud wired mast. I took the mast, sail and shrouds from an old Sevylor sailkit named "Sport 5m²" ;-). All sails with free standing masts, like the Snark latin sail, won't work on top of that cabin! Please proof first before asking how to build. The pipes with integrally cast flanges holding the leeboards are table-legs. Height for sitting in the cabin is 80cm, enough for persons up to 180cm. The coat of the cabin is pvc-canvas glued together. Cabin T-frame made of 30x2mm aluminum tubes and 60x30x2mm aluminum rectangle profiles connected with sawed aluminum sheets 2mm and 6mm screws with self-locking nuts. I bought all pieces via ebay and the local building center. I have no drawings for the modification. Wouldn't help much, because measures of each Intex Mariner and of various sails are different. I hope it inspires you to get creative. It's big fun to cruise with that (max. 5,5 knots at 3-4 bft.). That's pretty quick for that type of boat. Regards ds2go
