Doing so allows me to continue creating helpful kayak and paddleboard reviews!

Recently, I was asked to test and review the Isle Switch Pro Stand-Up Paddleboard/Kayak Hybrid. After taking it to my local lake, I found some things that were really good and a few things that need improvement.

Overall, I was impressed with the quality and durability of this SUP and loved how it brought my family together at the lake.

Let's start with the drawbacks-

Cons:

Longer time before you're able to get on the water (air it up)
Pretty expensive
More Maintenance than a hard shell kayak
It is easily blown around in the wind
You're going to get wet

Pros:

Easily Portable/Lightweight
Reasonably stable/difficult to flip
Quick assembly/disassembly of the kayak
It's capable of being both a paddleboard and a kayak
Durable
Customizable (can accept some motors)

Who's it for?

The paddleboard lover looking for an easily transportable rig to occasionally take fishing. This is not for serious kayak anglers to go fishing every weekend. I also don't think it would handle fast-moving rivers very well. I've only paddled it on lakes, so I don't know how it handles in the current, but I wouldn't be comfortable taking it over large rapids.
