Erroll Garner, the legendary jazz pianist, mesmerized audiences with his unique blend of classical melodies and jazz improvisation. In November 1964, during the Jazz Prisma show in Brussels, Belgium, Garner, accompanied by bassist Eddie Calhoun and drummer Kelly Martin, showcased his exceptional talent.

Garner's performance of a Classical Medley was a testament to his musical prowess. With his infectious smile lighting up the stage, Garner effortlessly transitioned between classical pieces, infusing them with his signature jazz flavor. The medley, a genre rooted in classical music tradition, took listeners on a captivating journey with its seamless transitions and non-repetitive elements.

Starting with Debussy's "Clair de lune," Garner continued with Chopin's Waltz Op. 64 No. 2, followed by Johann Strauss II's "Tales from the Vienna Woods" waltz. Rachmaninoff's Prelude in C-sharp minor and Liszt's "Liebestraum No. 3" further showcased Garner's versatility and mastery of the piano. The medley concluded with a triumphant tutti, bringing the classical excursion to a thrilling close.
