The 3rd Annual Australian Makers MeetUp was held in Melbourne on October 28th 2023. Hosted by ‪@BuiltByChris‬ and ‪@DownUnderWoodWorks‬ , nearly 30 makers descended on the Epping Hotel for a night of chat, drinks and a good feed. However, a smaller group of us also did a tour of several maker's workshops and had some side quests to explore ‪@timbeconaus‬ and even get a guided tour by the one and only ‪@graduallywizardly‬ !

I finally got to meet Mario ‪@woodfather‬ at his workshop, Ash from ‪@themondaymeetup-raw3425‬ (better known as Woodwork and Whiskers on Insta) ‪@kuffyswoodwork‬ , Vipun Envisage Designs, Gav from North Wind, Longsplinter, ‪@OzSawdustMakers‬, ‪@barberspaddockwoodworking‬ and hang out again with ‪@2byforge‬, ‪@gatekeeperart‬ and ‪@SmallFryCreations‬. It was also tops to find two newer YouTubers Dave ‪@MelbourneMaker‬ and Kieran ‪@kjh_woodworking‬ whose channels I've now binged, as well as at least half a dozen other new Insta friends like Bespoke Carvings, Recycled Wooden Things and Ever_floret.

If you missed out this year, 2024 will likely be about the same time in Sydney. I hope to see you there!
