We take a look at the new 2024 Chevy Colorado and the all new 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat. Both trucks are newer to the market with substantial updates that offer many benefits to the end user. One one hand, the Chevy Colorado has attractive exterior looks and many trims to fit your needs. On the other hand, the Ford Ranger has somewhat bland styling but a great interior and a much better feature set. When you look at both trucks around the $50k price point, the Ranger clearly offers more bang for the buck on an objective basis. Under the hood, both trucks use turbo 4 cylinders but the driving feel couldn't be more different considering the difference in output. I enjoyed driving the Ranger more due to the 10 speed transmission and power delivery. Ride quality isn't too different but I felt the Ranger was a tad softer.
