In this video, the input impedance and output impedance of the circuit has been explained.

After watching this video, you will learn the following topics:

0:32 What is Impedance?

4:45 What is Input Impedance?

5:35 Why should the input impedance of the circuit be high?

6:57 What is output impedance?

7:28 Why should the output impedance of the circuit be low?

8:46 The effect of input and output impedance in the cascaded circuit/amplifier

What is impedance?

The impedance is the opposition to the electric current offered by the circuit or network when some finite voltage is applied.
Unlike resistance, the impedance is frequency dependent as it also involves the reactive element like capacitor and inductor.

The impedance of the circuit can be either purely resistive, purely reactive or the combination of the resistive and reactive part. But in general, for AC sinusoidal signal it is denoted as impedance.

What is Input Impedance?

It is the equivalent impedance that is observed by the source across the circuit.

What is output impedance?

From the load perspective, it will also see some finite impedance in series with the output voltage of the circuit and this finite series impedance is known as the output impedance.

This video will be helpful to all students of science and engineering in understanding the input and output impedance of the circuit.
