College Athletics have always been something I have been passionate about. Growing up going to University of Washington Football games has led me to become a fan of the sport, and the pageantry and passion that is unique to college sports is something that has drawn me to it. Wanting to go into the world of sports media, I felt that diving into the current landscape of college athletics and where it is heading was the perfect opportunity to cover in this project for my Social Media Mobile Journalism course. I want to give a big thank you to Doug Aiken for taking the time to be interviewed on this subject and give the perspective of a Division-3 school on the matter of athletes being paid as employees by their University.
