This was definitely the most screwed-up, but interesting broadcast I've ever worked on. It was from a network tape, so there are no commercials, and instead there is candid talking between Summerall and Brookshier during these periods. The last half of the second quarter is missing, and most of the third quarter audio is absent also - NFL Films music has been substituted instead. There are also intermittent audio drop-outs at other points. There is also some tape damage in a few spots.

The recording really gets wild though during the 4th quarter. Two separate times the Summerall/Brookshier audio is overlaid with a live audio feed from the NFL Today crew who react to what is happening. Even better, for 4 minutes the game footage stops, the audio keeps going, and for video we actually SEE the NFL Today studio crew prepping for postgame while Musburger watches the game on a monitor. Crazy, crazy recording!
