Lara Croft is wanted by the French police, accused of the murder of her mentor Werner Von Croy.
After escaping the Parisian police on a stormy night by wandering around dark alleys, abandoned buildings and rooftops of the industrial area, Lara finally manages to reach Morgot Carvier's apartment, the only clue left to her by Werner before he was murdered.
Once the bell rings, Lara is welcomed by the elderly and austere lady into her apartment, heated by a fireplace... the time has come for Lara to confess and tell the lady what happened, in the hope of being able to receive her help, or ab clue to the reason for the terror Werner felt...
