Reasons for Moonlighting
Today most of the employees look into moonlighting for:

Extra income
Proving their capabilities in different job profiles
Non-recognition by employers
Utilizing spare time

Types of Moonlighting

1. Blue Moonlighting
2. Quarter Moonlighting
3. Half Moonlighting
4. Full Moonlighting

Pros and Cons of Moonlighting for Employers
1. Fatigue: It is a mental state of being tired and weak. Often, mental and physical fatigue exist together - if a person is physically exhausted for long periods of time, she might also feel mentally tired. Moonlighting can have adverse effects on an employee's performance.

2. Transportation Hurdles: Transportation can become a hurdle for moonlighters and it can become quite hard for them to be on time at work. Transportation glitches can lead to subpar performance which may be a loss to one or both of the workplaces.

3. Lack of sleep: The hectic lifestyle of moonlighting employees may create health hazards in the long run for them and huge drops in productivity for the employer.

4. Poor attentiveness: One person has to perform various activities because of multiple jobs which can result in short attention spans and easy distraction. It can also lead to memory lapse and weak recollection of events which ultimately impacts performance.
