Cristiano Ronaldo notched his 21st goal in the Saudi Pro League this season as Al Nassr secured a 2-1 victory over Al Fateh on Saturday, narrowing the gap to league leaders Al Hilal.

Facing a challenging match at the Al Awwal Stadium in both teams' first league encounter after the winter break, Al Fateh posed difficulties throughout. However, Otavio's decisive goal in the 72nd minute ensured Al Nassr claimed the three crucial points.

Ronaldo initiated the scoring in the 17th minute, capitalizing on Otavio's clever scooped pass, skillfully collected by Sultan Al Ghannam. Al Ghannam then assisted in finding the Portuguese striker, who clinically finished with a first-time strike.

Despite Salem Al Najdi leveling the score in the 29th minute, the game seemed destined for a draw until Otavio's well-timed intervention, once again assisted by Al Ghannam.

The outcome leaves Al Nassr trailing Al Hilal by four points, with the league leaders set to play their postponed match against Al Raed on Sunday.

Since joining the Gulf nation in January 2023, Ronaldo is still vying for his first Saudi Pro League title.
