The Field Day that took place on October 8, 1982.

The only minor change to the format this year was that each class could now use their own unique drum beat for marching into the gymnasium adding a new layer of creativity in presenting the class theme.

This was also The class of 1986's first field day appearance.

A check for funding the Lauren B. Fischer Memorial Speaker fund to pay for the first speaker in her name was presented to Lauren's parents before the start of the main themed events. This was money raised by the students in the charity event. Lauren was a member of the class of 1983 and had died of cancer toward the end of her junior year a few months before this field day. A bittersweet field day victory for her friends in the senior class.

Possible Junior/Freshman upsets almost occured this year. The Freshman and Sophomores were tied going into the very last event (The Freshmen actually led several times throughout the field events). A few disqualifications in the lower school field events added to the drama. The Juniors and Seniors were also tied going into the second to last event.

The upper school Tug O War was EPIC!!!!
