In today's vlog I head to Taipei wholesale market located next to Songshan airport, a bustling area where you can find pretty much anything from fruits, vegetables, meats, seafoods, cooked dishes, king crab, wine, just about anything!

I take you on a shop inside the fruits and vegetable section of the market and see actually how cheap, or not so cheap some very simple and basic staple items cost. I was surprised how much I paid for 4 items of what should be cheap vegetables, well, they are cheap everywhere else around Asia that I've visited, but here, seems not.

I end up spending a lot more than expected at this wholesale market, do locals really pay that much for cabbage???

According to the internet, this means a Taiwanese local has to work about 50 minutes to earn enough to purchase one cabbage (minimum wage stats), to put this into perspective, a UK worker would be paying £10 for a cabbage....so I'm confused...
