For the majority of the year, Albert Park is a public use facility, not a Formula 1® circuit.

As the Formula 1® makes its long await return to Melbourne in 2022, a crew of tens of thousands of contractors and suppliers have spent the months prior building what is known around the world as Albert Park the street circuit.

Everything is built from the ground up at Albert Park. With the exception of the pit building, every grandstand, hospitality suite, activation, restaurant, bar, stage and office is built specifically for the Australian Grand Prix.

Join us for a behind the scenes look at what it takes to build a Formula 1® circuit.

Matt Walton, Division Manager – Infrastructure at the Australian Grand Prix Corporation takes you (the fan) on a behind the scenes tour of Albert Park as it prepares for the return of F1®, showing the magnitude of the Albert Park build for 2022, a build that has been widely described as the most ambitious in Australian Grand Prix history.
