Hi everyone, I was never planning on uploading this video but after over a year with this amazing husky i wanted to tell you guys about some misconceptions with huskies and how amazing they can be. Now I can't speak for all Huskies but i can speak for Floki. First, yes Huskies are very stubborn and very free spirited but they are incredibly smart. Floki has learned the commands sit, stay, paw, spin, roll over, heel, speak, come and high five and he doesn't need treats to do them. He was potty trained to ring a bell in the house when he wanted out at around 12 weeks. I'm not a dog trainer and don't claim to be a expert but of all these tricks the hardest one to teach him was paw. That one took at least a 100 or more attempts on different days. Over the first year of having Floki as part of our family we've discovered he is a incredible hunter, almost never barks, wants to roam on his own. Which can get him into trouble. Early on he was a angel off leash but as he aged he would sneak away on a moments notice but over time he has learned that he needs to stay close and he will actually listen if he gets too far and will comeback to us. This was a lot of work on our part. Huskies are not easy to train to do this, and it takes lot's of hard work and time. For a new person to huskies i highly recommend doing some research before you get one. They are not good subdivision dogs do to their high energy. One way we help tire him out now is he now has two German Shepherd brothers and that is a whole other story. But I will be updating this video with Floki's current tricks in the near future. I hope you guys enjoy how cute he is.
