I don't feel right about saying I "enjoyed" reading about the Johnstown flood. It was a great book, well-written, but the flood and over 2000 tragic deaths is not something one could "enjoy." I do "appreciate" the book as I think dam safety is a topic we all should be aware of, and I'm glad I read the book. The flood is counted as one of the major disasters in the history of the United States.
