I had always heard about Granite being slightly radioactive. I have been in this area below Cascade Falls in Yosemite in the past with my old geiger counter and detected a slightly higher level. This time with the new detector I could pinpoint it much better.

2 to 3 times the background radiation level is absolutely nothing to worry about. But interesting nonetheless.
