The title of Jeroen Claase's new single is 'Serahkan' meaning 'surrender'. It is a song that revolves around an apparent moment of inability in which you have to make a decision quickly, but of which the outcome is ultimately the best by moving with the situation instead of opposing it.


Last year Jeroen and his wife together took care of their newborn niece in connection with family circumstances. If you then suddenly have to turn your life around, surrender to the situation is the best you can do. This experience has led Jeroen to look more to himself. He gave concrete form to this reflection in a text he wrote in English. Luluk Marwan made the poetic Indonesian translation of this.


George Muishout then wrote the music that was finally forged by Jeroen into the current production.
