CREAMY AND CHEESY POTATO AU GRATIN |HOW TO MAKE BOUGIE POTATO SCALLOPED |THE BOUGIE AUNTIE STEP BY STEP

9 potatoes (sliced)
5 tablespoons of salt butter
1 onion whole (diced
2 tablespoons of all purpose flour
3 and 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream
4 oz of cream cheese
1 tablespoon of onion powder
1 tablespoons of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of badia complete seasoning
1 teaspoons of garlic Parmesan
1/2 teaspoons of black pepper
1/2 teaspoons of salt
Parsley flakes (until u hear the cry if you ancestors)
1 8oz block of monetary jack cheese (shred)
1/2 of a 8oz block of Colby jack cheese (shred
1/2 of a 8oz block of mozzarella cheese (shred)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°
Clean and slice up 9 potatoes as seen in the video. After washing the sliced potatoes leave them in water until you are ready to use them (if not they can start to turn brown)

Place a pan on medium high heat 6/7 add 5 tablespoons of salted butter . Once the butter melts add the diced onions. Let onions cook for about 2 minutes add 2 tablespoons of flour whisk the flour into the butter and onion mixture let the flour cook for about 4 minutes.

Add 3 cups and 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream into the mixture once sauce starts to simmer add 4oz of cream cheese. Whisk the cream cheese into the sauce mixture let cream cheese melt whisk away any lumps. Bring mixture to a simmer; it should be a similar consistency to creamy gravy.

Add 1 tablespoon of onion powder, 1 tablespoons of garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of badia complete seasoning,1 teaspoons of garlic Parmesan,1/2 teaspoons of black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and Parsley flakes. Whisk all seasoning into the sauce add 1/2 cup of monetary jack cheese and whisk it into the sauce once the cheese has melted turn the heat off.

Spray a 2 quart square baking dish (or an 8x12 is good) with nonstick cooking spray or grease with butter or oil. Place some of the sauce into the bottom of the pan place sliced potatoes in slanted as indicated in the video. Pour the sauce evenly over the potatoes and continue to layer them as if you’re making a potato lasagna (as seen in the video) do this until you have used all the potatoes and the sauce. (Don’t worry, the sauce will get nice and creamy while baking.)Cover the pan with foil, then bake for 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes, remove foil, sprinkle the top of potatoes with the Colby jack cheese, mozzarella cheese and the remainder of the monetary jack cheese. Sprinkle the top with paprika or Cheyenne and parsley flakes. Return it to the oven and bake for 30 more minutes until potatoes are done and nice and golden brown on top. (Potatoes are done when the middle of the potatoes can be easily pierced with a fork.). Enjoy!
