A healthy plant starts with a healthy root system. Trianum (Trichoderma harzianum T22) is well-known for its ability to control disease-causing soil-born fungi such as Fusarium graminearum. Besides the disease control, Trianum is able to stimulate root growth and thereby making plants healthier and stronger. In this stop-motion, you can see these dual protective and growth-stimulating effects of Trianum on maize seeds. Roots of Fusarium-diseased maize develop poorly, get rotten and slough off. These plants have little chance of surviving. Following the application of Trianum, Trichoderma grows along with the developing root system creating a protective “cover” (yellow-coloured roots) against Fusarium graminearum. At the same time, Trianum promots the growth of the roots that grow even larger than the control plants.
