This is the project that when I posted my list of concepts EVERY comment said they were excited about this one and I initially intended to finish it before Bad Luck but motivation didn’t turn out that way and I almost scrapped it but realized a couple days ago it shows a lot of important details I missed with The Frog Prince so, begrudgingly, here it is!!!

Story:

After Sootsong’s death and the destruction of Sootclan, Beestar and Thunderstripe are left to pick up the pieces. They’re determined to rebuild their clan to what it used to be.

Beestar is concerned about keeping the, still fragile, peace between Sootclan and Dreamclan. Thunder however, is more concerned about his personal grudges and he’s not willing to let it go that easy.

Thunderstripe gets into a fight with the Dreamclan deputy, Grayeyes, over prey on the border. Swiftstar is furious and uses this as leverage to threaten Beestar, forcing him to exile his own deputy and best friend.

Beestar appoints Ducklingtuft to be the new deputy after Thunderstripes banishment. He throws himself into the work of rebuilding the camp, working by himself through the rain to prove himself a noble leader.

After being terribly injured by Swiftstar, Thunderstripe seeks aid from Frost. The mountain lion helps him recover and train to hunt and fight even with his broken leg. Frost makes it clear he is still hellbent on destroying the clans, but Thunderstripe naively believes he can change the giant cat’s mind. He was wrong.

Thunderstripe reunites with Beestar and Frost becomes enraged from the betrayal. Frost and Swiftstar join forces, setting fire once again to the forest and leading dogs into the territory ensuring the irreparable destruction of Sootclan.

Beestar and Thunderstripe manage to get everyone out. To their surprise Dreamclan cats come to help, offering the Sootclan warriors refuge in their old home. Swiftstar however is nowhere to be found.

Thunderstripe and Beestar know they cannot have the life they fight for until Swiftstar is eliminated. They follow his scent trail to the moonpool and prepare for the fight of their lives.
