Cube:
Cubes have six sides all the same

Sides square with eight vertices
Like ice or the sugar that’s in your tea

Cone:
Like a traffic cone
Or a megaphone
Or an Ice cream cone

Your base is round
And comes up to a point

Cylinder:
Like a roll of toilet paper (toilet paper)
Or a can of fish (can of fish)
Cylinders have two round bases (two round bases)

Prism:
Prisms have two of the very same base
But the bases can be different shapes
Triangle, square, rectangle, pentagon
Like a box, block of cheese, or a chocolate bar
We’re all prisms, baby

Pyramid:
Some Pyramids are triangles or squares at the base
But the sides slope up to the same place
Like Egyptian tombs of ancient times
A tent, or a roof, or a “WET FLOOR” sign
